isCOBOL Universal Database Connector (UDBC) Server

isCOBOL UDBC

The isCOBOL UDBC Server allows developers to access indexed files hosted by the isCOBOL Application Server as if they were a relational database. Based on the Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) standard, and Java Database Connectivity (JDBC), isCOBOL UDBC provides SQL access to ISAM indexed data files for all supported file systems including isCOBOL JISAM and all supported file connectors like VFC (Vision File Connector) the Micro FocusĀ® Vision file system (formally Acucorp Vision file system) and MFC (MicroFocus File Connector). The isCOBOL UDBC interface enables organizations to benefit from modern PC productivity tools without having to restructure existing data files.
